West Brook Middle School React Club Has Annual Senior Citizen's Thanksgiving Feast

WestBrook Thanksgiving A few weeks ago, an envelope from West Brook Middle School arrived  in the mail inviting me to the annual React Club Senior Citizen's Thanksgiving Day Feast. This invitation has come for many years and is always a delight to attend. Attendees are offered selections of music under the direction of Mrs. Lisa Ahrend, Ms. Jocelyn Gertel and Ms. Rebecca Dugan. Meanwhile there is a flurry of middle schoolers approaching each visitor and asking if there is anything that they can get for them. This year, before we were seated, we could have had a choice of beverages. If one doesn't have a cup in front of them, there will be a minimum of fifteen offers for service. Of course Principal Carla Alvarez and Vice Principal Larry Calenda will be on hand to greet and to make everyone comfortable..
