James C. Hoffmann’s 62,000 steps during The Barclays increase Horizon’s total donation to $11,000
(September 2, 2015, Newark, NJ) -- Good health and a good cause paired up at The Barclays this past weekend, as Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) donated $11,000 to the New Jersey Golf Foundation through its Healthy Steps Challenge. After making an initial $5,000 donation to the foundation at the start of The Barclays, Horizon BCBSNJ challenged PGA TOUR golfer and NJ native Morgan Hoffmann to add more by wearing a fitbit, pledging to add another $1,000 for every 10,000 steps Hoffmann logged during play at the Plainfield Country Club in Edison.

Hackensack University Medical Center has been recognized as one of the 2015 Best Hospitals in America for Stroke Care, the newest award from Women’s Choice Award®. Both the reception and gallery are free and open to the public. Wyckoff Area Garden Club presents "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly: Adventures and Misadventures in our Gardens"
The Wyckoff Area Garden Club will start their new fall season on Wednesday, September 9 in the Monroe Room at the Wyckoff Public Library, 200 Woodland Ave. in Wyckoff. Social time will begin at 7:00 pm followed by the meeting at 7:30.
