The Paramus Board of Health is offering free H1N1 vaccinations to all residents of New Jersey 4 years of age and older. To be eligible to receive the vaccine, you must not have an allergy to eggs or to a component of the vaccine; have never had a reaction to a previous dose of flu vaccine; never had Guillain-Barre Syndrome ( a temporary severe muscle weakness) within 6 weeks after receiving flu vaccine. Pregnant women are required to bring a medical clearance note from their doctor.
Vaccinations will be given in the Health Department at Borough Hall. Appointments are required and can be made by calling the public health nurses at 201-265-2100, Ext. 615 or 618.
