SJP Properties Earns Energy Star Award for Superior Energy Efficiency at Morris Corporate Center IV in Parsippany, N.J.

Latest Recognition Builds on Company Track Record Delivering Region’s Most Advanced Green Office Environments
SJP Properties, one of the New York Metropolitan Area’s most active development companies, has announced that Buildings C and D at Morris Corporate Center IV have been awarded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s prestigious Energy Star recognition, the national symbol for superior energy efficiency and environmental protection. Commercial buildings and industrial plants that rate in the top 25 percent of facilities in their peer group for energy efficiency are eligible to qualify for Energy Star.
With this announcement, Buildings C and D at Morris Corporate Center IV join the ranks of other SJP Energy Star properties, including Somerset Corporate Center II in Bridgewater, N.J. Commercial buildings that earn Energy Star recognition use an average of 40 percent less energy than typical buildings, and also release 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The national energy performance rating system provides a 1 to 100 scale that helps organizations assess how effectively their buildings use energy relative to similar buildings nationwide. Buildings that earn a rating of 75 or higher are eligible for Energy Star.
