The “In the Spotlight” film series at the Paramus Public Library highlights
a new travel film each month. August’s destination is “Thailand: The Golden Kingdom.” The film will be shown at the main library, 116 E. Century Road in Paramus on Monday, August 21st at 12:30pm. This program is free of charge, open to the public and requires no advance registration. Light refreshments will be served.

In “Thailand: The Golden Kingdom,” viewers will tour Bangkok’s labyrinth of narrow streets and winding canals, marvel at the architectural splendor of the Grand Palace, and venture north to Chiang Mai, the cool mountainous region home to the country’s native hill tribes. Viewers will also witness the art of silk weaving, visit an orchid farm and watch artisans paint colorful parasols. The film concludes with the pleasures of island living on the sun drenched beaches of Koko Samui, Phuket and Ko Phi Phi.
