“Last Orders†by Graham Swift is the subject of film discussion this summer at the Paramus Public Library. On Friday, August 18th at 12:30pm, library patrons are invited to view “Last Ordersâ€, a subtle yet piercing story about the ways friendship and love are shaped by the past and by fate. Centering on a group of World War II friends, their work, family, the racetrack and favorite pub, this feature film stars Michael Caine, Bob Hoskins, and Helen Mirren.
The film is based on the book, “Last Orders†by Graham Swift, the subject of the library’s July book discussion. Patrons can still read “Last Orders†prior to seeing the film. Copies of “Last Orders†by Graham Swift are available through the library. The Paramus Public Library is located at 116 E. Century Road. For more information, please call 201/599-1300.
