Dear Chief,
This September marks the fifth anniversary of the worst attack our Nation has ever experienced and the greatest loss of Emergency Responder’s lives we have ever endured. With this in mind, I would like to invite you and the members of your Fire Department to join us for a special, September 11, Remembrance Service. This interdenominational service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the Paramus Catholic High School on 425 Paramus Road in Paramus, NJ. We are asking that all emergency service personnel wear their Class A Uniforms or station wear uniforms.
This service is intended to honor all of our Emergency Responders and will include several Fire and Police Department Honor Guards, bagpipers, various Emergency Service speakers, including Michael Anson, an FDNY Firefighter with Rescue 1, as well as a time of prayer in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in the attacks on September 11, 2001. This service will be followed by a luncheon. This event is sponsored by, the Community Alliance Church of Paramus and the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters, North Jersey Chapter. Enclosed is a poster for your use.
If you are unable to join us on September 10, maybe you would consider sending one of your other officers to represent you as well as your Fire Department.
Thank you for your time, I hope to see you on September 10th!
Yours truly,
Joseph J. Smaha,
President
