Mr. Matthew Barnes
Campaign Manager
Scott Garrett for Congress
P.O. Box 905
Newton, NJ 07860

Dear Matthew,

On behalf of Congressional Candidate Paul Aronsohn, I am writing to request a series of debates with incumbent Congressman Scott Garrett.

As I am sure you will agree, the people of our community deserve a thorough public discussion of the key issues facing them this fall – issues on which our candidates fundamentally disagree.

To that end, we propose the following:

1. There should be four debates – one on each of the following topics: National Security, the Economy, Healthcare, and Education.

2. Each debate should be held in a different county – Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren.

3. The debates should be sponsored by the League of Women Voters, academic institutions, and media organizations, which command a far-reaching audience in the Fifth District.

4. The debates should provide various formats and should also include citizen participation.

To facilitate this process, I suggest that we meet soonest to discuss the details of our proposal. Meanwhile, we hope that Congressman Garrett will agree to meet and debate on four occasions before the end of October.

Sincerely,

Parisa Sabeti
Campaign Manager
Paul Aronsohn for Congress
