Memorial at GSP
At a very memorable tribute to the victims of 9/11 and their survivors, over 23 Bergen County Police Chiefs were present to offer remembrance.
Also present was County Executive Dennis McNerney and many representatives from the Paramus Police Department. The Paramus Color Guard was used to present the colors followed by the Scotch bagpipers who added to the somber time.
Westfield Garden State Plaza Shopping Center not only allowed the tribute at their premises, but assisted in the presentation physically and financially. Mention was made of the memorial edifice near Macy’s on the main level and one chief said that he often comes to the Plaza, not only to shop, but to watch the passer bys and their reaction to this wonderful edifice.
GSP manager Phillip St. George added a few words.
