At Van Saun Park, the aisles were rife with Seniors wending their way though the paths viewing the many display tables.
The day turned out to be perfect and the weather cooperated. With an excellent DJ at the stage, a good sense of humor and a voice to match, he not only sang and encouraged the picnickers to dance, but was also acting as a lost and found for people who couldn’t locate their companions.
Everything was divided into color codes with different tablecloths for the various locales. If you couldn’t read, it was better if you weren’t colorblind. As I wended my way over to the Paramus group, I met many of the local and county candidates who were greeting people at their tables.
Clear plastic prepackaged food was served consisting of a sandwich on a roll, coleslaw, potato salad, mustard and mayonnaise, fat free milk, a juice drink and a peach as well as a napkin and eating utensils. Distribution was done in record time and so was the food dispatched .. in record time.
