Golf Tournament
See, you show up and it rains was my greeting from our diminutive former mayor, Cliff Gennarelli, when I showed up for a rainy start of the Paramus Museum’s 2nd annual golf outing. My quick retort to an old friend was . Well .. you invited me.
The rain was a little disappointing, but quite a few golfers showed up. Lo and behold, the rain let up long enough to bring the covered golf carts out and for threesomes and foursomes to play. In a sense, it was disappointing because Mayor Gennarelli and his committee had put in a lot of work to get this going.
After a delay helped by eating lunch inside at the restaurant, the rain had slowed down to a passable intermittent shower and many of the hardy souls went out on the greens. We are still waiting for the results of the tournament; when we get them, they will be added to this story.
