Parkway Groundbreaking
The Mayor and Council together with BOE had a groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off the facility improvements pursuant to recently finalized agreement between the Borough and the BOE. The improvements include but are not limited to new basketball courts, additional parking and approx 8 acres of new irrigated and sodded fields for baseball, soccer and lacrosse. The improvements are scheduled to take place over the next two to three years.

The event was attended by Senator Coniglio, Mayor Tedesco, Councilman LaBarbiera, Councilwoman Wagner; BOE members Tony Feorenzo, Sheila Criscione, Steve Waxman, and Frank Straka; Recreation Commissioners Bill Stallone and Vince Feorenzo; Rich Lambert/Assistant Recreation Director; Bill Comery and Jay Sexton from Shade Tree Department; and many children and residents of the Borough. Work is well under way with the recent paving for the relocated basketball courts and should be followed shortly by installation of well equipment for irrigation in the fall and renovation of 1/2 of the fields in the spring.

The Borough has already received grants for some of work and are working towards more.
