The weather could not be better for the 6th Annual Kids Safe Halloween Party hosted by Paramus Rescue Squad members. During the day members worked on the final touches for the party, picking up gifts and finishing up decorating the Rescue building for the upcoming event.

Residents were pulling in as the party was slated to start, with the DJ getting "Club Rescue" into the swing of things.

The DJ, Dance Extreme Entertainment, kept the children busy with dancing and games through out the night.  He even got Mayor Jim Tedesco out on the dance floor at the end of the night for a dance lesson.

All Fired Up Entertainment brought their fire truck with the plasma screen displays and entertained the children with an animated movie shown on the "fire truck".

The members kept busy all night selling raffle tickets, handing out pizza, making popcorn, and helping out with all the activities of the night. The original concept was conceived back in 2001, after 9/11 when members decided to have a safe place to have kids of the town trick or treat in a controlled environment. Every year since its inception the event has grown, to the event that was held last night. Record crowds came to dance at "Club Rescue" with the promise of most to return next year for another fun filled night.

Businesses from Paramus and local towns donated food and prizes to the event to make it such a success, something that has come to grow and grow as the years progressed. Corporate Sponsors included Toys R Us, K Mart, Stop and Shop, ShopRite, Boston Market, Hooters, Houlihan's, Dunkin Donuts, BJ's, and Home Expo to name a few. Numerous Pizza places donated food to start the night off, along with other local businesses providing gift certificates for the raffle.
