The Paramus Public Library book discussion for November will feature "In the Time of Butterflies" by Julia Alvarez. A tale of courage and sisterhood set in the Domican Republic during the rise of the Trujillo dictatorship, "In the Time of Butterflies" is inspired by the true story of the three Mirabal sisters who, in 1960, were murdered for their part in an underground plot to overthrow the government.
The discussion will take place on Friday, November 17th. This is a brown bag lunch event beginning at 12:30pm, with coffee and tea provided. Discussion starts at 1:00pm. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk.
