Nydic MRI lets you keep your OPTIONS OPEN

Nydic Nydic, located at 2 Forest Avenue, Paramus, lets you keep your MRI options open. They feature Open MRI technology and are proud of the fact that their patients are not confined to a claustrophobic tunnel. Everything possible is done to ensure that their clients feel welcome and at ease including listening to their choice of music and bringing a friend. Most medications are allowed pre-test time, but they do suggest less caffeine and open clothing if one wants to wear their own. Visits beforehand can be arranged.
I first met the people from Nydic at the Paramus Board of Health Community Health Day on October 11th. They were set up there to explain what an open MRI does, its benefits and the warmth that they extend. We arranged for my subsequent visit and photos of their facility. After all, I did have to learn why an open MRI was beneficial.

It was a good thing that I remembered their office was located in the rear of 2 Forest Avenue because parking in the front was hectic. Greeting me at the front office were Rosario Harvey and Milly Tejada (who became camera shy). Tracey DeVito, the general manager, came out immediately and took me for a tour of the facility. She introduced me to Doug Ledwon, the Chief Technologist and reminded me that I had met Karen Bizzano (who waved to me) their Sales Representative, at the Paramus Community Health Day.

The warm aura at the Paramus Nydic facility is shown through their care. Extended hours to meet the need, transportation for people needing assistance, no waiting or crowds, even offering a free lunch if they are running late, convenient parking and rapid technical information to your doctor.

Some of the caveats that have to be checked are: a Pacemaker, Pregnancy, Aneurysm clips, Shrapnel, Cochlear implants, Artificial heart valves, Surgical staples, Inferior Vena cava umbrella, Hearing aid and history as a metal worker. These should be brought to the attention of the technologist before the exam.

Weight is not too much of a problem as their machine will handle patients up to 440 lbs. If you need their services or would like to schedule a visit, call 201 368 1888. You can even get a free pen.
