Award-winning singer, multi-instrumentalist, and storyteller Amikaeyla Proudfoot Gaston will present her fanciful adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s tale, The Elephant’s Child, at Bergen Community College on Saturday, January 27, at 3:00 p.m.,
in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for children 17 and under. Seating is reserved and advanced ticket purchase—available at 201-447-7428—is recommended.
A musical virtuoso touted by National Public Radio for possessing one of the “purest contemporary voices in the jazz, world, and folk industry,” Gaston is sure to entertain audience members of all ages with her interpretation of Kipling’s masterwork. Featuring an original score of African melodies that brings settings and characters to life and a storytelling songstress who encourages her audience’s participation, this lively production blends the wonders of children’s literature with the excitement of a theatrical performance.

This performance is a part of the fun and friendly family programming in Bergen Community College’s “This & That from Here & There” Performing Arts series. For a full schedule of events call Bergen’s Office of Community and Cultural Affairs at 201-447-7428 or visit them on the Web at www.bergen.edu/community_events.
