The Girl Scout Council of Bergen County has teamed up with Westfield Garden State Plaza to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of Girl Scouting on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Girl Scouts from the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County will be selling Girl Scout cookies at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. In keeping with the Girl Scouts “Healthy Choices†initiative, all varieties of cookies have zero trans-fat. The price for a box of cookies is $3.50. This free event is open to all Girl Scouts, leaders, families, and friends of the community.
“Westfield Garden State Plaza supports the Girls Club and we are pleased to sponsor this event,†said Phillip St. Pierre, General Manager. “We are happy to participate in promoting the development of values, leadership and business skills that will serve these girls all their lives.â€
The Girl Scout Cookie Program, an integral part of Girl Scouting’s Business and Economic Literacy initiative for girls ages 6–17, provides finance, marketing, and public speaking skills, along with valuable experiences that build girls’ self-confidence and help them develop their own personal leadership style.
