Young Women in the Arts Challenge
The parameters were: Share with others by creating a piece of fine art that shows what Courage, Character or Confidence means to you. Girls attending Kindergarten through Grade 12 in Bergen County were invited to participate in this ‘artful’ challenge. 

At a ceremony on Monday evening at Girl Scout Headquarters, 300 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ, Rosa Bland, President of the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County and Carol Sprague, acting CEO, presented 17 awards to these youthful artists.

Overseen by Barbara Grady, those young ladies who won awards are: Chole Cordero, Diana Matasker, Lucie Gehringer, Demi Poulos, Grace Fantau, Alexandra Gouveia, Cassandra Stone, Sophia Guido, Emily Allen, Emily Griffin, Monica Mari, Annie Ajarsumpun, Morgan Buckey, Phoebe Short, Amanda Russo, Alexandra Glasner and Veronica Rabelo.

In addition to getting the awards, their winning artwork will be posted on the corridor walls of Girl Scout Headquarters during the months of March, April and May.
