Bergen Community College’s Theatre Production Workshop will present four student-produced, one-act plays in the Ender Hall Laboratory Theatre on the campus at 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ, on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, May 6 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance in Room A-315 at the College or at the box office one hour before curtain on the days of the performances.
The four plays, “The Wedding Story,†“The Family,†“Hard Candy,†and “Jimmy, the Antichrist†are produced, directed, and performed entirely by students enrolled in the College’s Theater Production Workshop class. Taught by Professor Ken Bonnaffons, of Central Valley, NY, this hands-on class covers all aspects of theatrical production from managing to directing, lighting design, costuming, and of course, acting.
“The plays were chosen for their appeal to our students,†said Professor Bonnaffons. “They are fast, funny and slightly irreverent. We have given the shows an R-rating—R for ridiculous.â€
