Due to overwhelming consumer response, what was initially slated to be a ten store test concept, quickly turned into over 50 freestanding Soma boutiques nationwide by the end of 2006 with an additional 30 more scheduled to open in 2007.

Soma’s Perfect Fit Experience: Soma fills the void in the intimate apparel market by providing women with a shopping alternative to overtly sexy boutiques and the declining services at department stores. Soma is designed to provide a sanctuary for women – a place where they can take a moment for themselves away from daily life.

To maintain Soma’s high level of customer satisfaction, each and every Soma bra undergoes a rigorous 70-point testing process. This ensures that each bra meets the brands mantra of producing only perfect fitting, comfortable and long lasting bras. All Soma stores are staffed with trained Fit Experts ready to help women find the perfect bra and act as their liaison to the ultimate “Soma Experience.”

The Soma Boutique: The first of its kind, soma offers an open, relaxing environment to showcase its signature collections of intimate apparel, sleep wear, relaxation wear and active wear. The freestanding boutiques are designed to draw women in – Soma bras, panties and shape wear are artfully displayed on one side of the store and sleepwear, relaxation wear and active wear on the other. However the stores’ most unique feature is its spacious dressing rooms, which are designed to accommodate the Soma Fit Experience. Soft lighting, warm colors and luxurious trimmings all work together to create a zen-like oasis that caters to ease, privacy and beauty.
