The softball game between the police and firefighters was a very enjoyable game! They are exceptionally good players, especially in the field, good hitters, good running and few errors were made if any. In fact, more spectacular catches and plays were made than errors!
Not that I was rooting for the police, but I did sit on their side. Their moms, young wives and families were so nice and even helpful to me. I couldn't possibly remember all the names of the players, but I did remember Kevin, # 10 who did the catching for the police, because his mom-in-law pointed him out, and we had shared a nice chat! I also recognized the shortstop, # 2, because he wore Derek Jeter's # and made some pretty good plays ~ as Jeter does.
Police were up at bat first and last and led through the 5th inning. In the 6th inning the firefighters overtook the police and held the lead to the end to win the game, 16 -15.
