Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, July 10, 2007 - DMR Architects, one of the largest and most respected full-service architectural firms in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region, has completed work on the Lyndhurst Middle School located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
“When the school board and local community share services and facilities, it helps both sides, avoid exorbitant expenses,” said Lloyd Rosenberg, president, CEO and founder of DMR Architects.
DMR worked closely with the Township of Lyndhurst and Cherokee NorthEast on the planning and design for the new school. This new facility will benefit the community by offering modern and dynamic spaces including an auditorium, gymnasium, media center and cafeteria. The spaces are specifically designed so students may use them during school hours and residents during non-school hours.
The 120,000 square foot, three-story building will accommodate a six hundred person, student body population. This is the second successful example of a shared facility project for the city and DMR. The other is a new facility that serves both Lyndhurst Board of Education Offices and the Youth Center. This new joint facility is located on the corner of Grant and Fern Avenues, part of the Lyndhurst High School campus.
