Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER) announced that Diane Alecci from Paramus is among an elite group of financial advisors recognized in Barron’s second annual report of the “Top 100 Women Financial Advisers.” For the second year in a row, Alecci was selected for this honor as a result of demonstrating industry best practices and on a range of qualifications including revenue produced and customer satisfaction, among other factors.

With 20 financial advisors on the Barron’s list, Merrill Lynch has more advisors recognized than any other single financial advisory firm for the second consecutive year.

To compile this list, Barron’s relied on the services of R.J. Shook, an independent, third-party expert, who has been ranking America’s top advisors for more than 10 years in his Winner’s Circle books. The Winner’s Circle team vetted each advisor on the Barron’s Top 100 Women list through a host of quantitative and qualitative criteria, ranging from assets and revenues managed to experience level, compliance records, client retention reports, customer satisfaction reports and interviews with senior management, peers and customers. Because individual client portfolio performance varies and is typically unaudited, this ranking focuses on customer satisfaction and quality of advice.

“Diane’s exemplary commitment to her clients and the financial management industry make her highly deserving of the recognition on this list,” said Ronald Connors, Director. “At Merrill Lynch, we help clients achieve what is most important to them by becoming an essential partner, and Diane’s selection to this list illustrates her remarkable dedication to making that a reality.”

Alecci has been with Merrill Lynch for 31 years, serving corporate and individual investors with comprehensive financial solutions, including concentrated stock management, asset management, estate planning services and philanthropy. Diane won the TWIN Award, was named Top 100 Women Financial Advisors for 2 consecutive years and is in the Merrill Lynch Director's Circle.

Diane Alecci and the D&L Group manages more than $798 Million in assets from individual and corporate clients.
