Mahoney Bros

Appearing at the Westfield Garden State Plaza Bandshell this past Tuesday evening, this talented group performed Beatlemania. Their renditions and costumes were impeccable. As always, they invited the audience to participate in the songs, singing, clapping, stomping and whatever turns you on! The Mahoney Bros perform everything live with no offstage musicians, prerecorded soundtracks or other presentation enhancers.

Very interestingly, when I asked Brian Mahoney about their schedule for the evening, he mentioned that they are very flexible and play to the audience and their preferences. This was echoed by brother Tim who was in charge of the makeup and costume studio. Very affable people, the Mahoney Bros. answered all my questions as we chatted before they started performing. There are many ‘artistes’ who ‘prefer’ not to be disturbed.

Among the songs they presented .. in costume .. and the proper key were: I Want to Hold Your Hand, Close Your Eyes, Yellow Submarine and She Loves You. They invited the 300 people strong audience to join in a sing a long song ‘Ringo’.

Due to the heat and a long day, I left early and didn’t hear the Mahoney Bros pay tribute to www.paramusPost.com. Thanks guys!

The Mahoney Brothers consist of Tim, Brian & Mike plus added musicians as needed. The talented brothers play many instruments as well as doing vocals.
