Answers 5th Districts’ Calls for Sensible Leadership, Change of Course on Failed Policies

Rabbi and psychologist Dennis Shulman today announced the formation of a congressional exploratory campaign in New Jersey’s 5th district.

“I have lived in the district for more than twenty years,” said Shulman. “I think we in northern New Jersey deserve sensible leadership that really represents our values.”

An ordained rabbi and blind since childhood, Dennis Shulman has gained international recognition for his 30 years of work as a Harvard-educated clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst.

“We need fresh voices in Washington who can take a good look at the direction we’re going in and make practical decisions to change the course of failed policies,” said Shulman.

“It’s time to get down to business,” said Shulman. “On issues like Iraq, stem cell research, and corruption, for too long partisanship and ideology have prevented our representatives from providing sensible leadership.”

Shulman plans to make a formal decision regarding his candidacy in October.

“I will be spending the month ahead listening to the people of New Jersey’s 5th district,” said Shulman. “What they say will be what matters in making my decision to run.”
