Are man-woman relations different in different nations?

My personal views on the matter of man, woman, and sex are incorporated in my following couplet :

NO MATTER WHAT IS THE RACE, CAST, CREED, OR TYPE OF ANY GENTRY ;
SAME IS THE BIOLOGY, SAME IS THE CHEMISTRY, THUS SAME IS THE SEX LIFE IN EVERY COUNTRY.

Many new catchy and interesting theories on the subject of man-woman relations have recently been put up in the recent past. One such story like “Men Have Evolved To Fall For Younger Women” has recently caught appeared in the news columns of the world press. This latest theory is although quite interesting, and is also substantiated with some credible research data, but this is in no way end of the man-woman’s relationship episode.

Probably many thousand more years’ of research work would be needed to unravel just a few inches of the text of the several kilometers-long mystery of this cryptic subject. Some time back there had also appeared a news story titled “Old women honeymooning with younger husbands”. But reverse of this state, as per the 19th century English writer, Sir William S. Gilbert [ 1836 - 1911 ] may be a bad news as it is ought to bring strife in life. The poet Gilbert had said :

HUSBAND TWICE OLD AS WIFE ;
ARGUES ILL FOR MARRIED LIFE.

What is being said today by many of the scientists after several years of intensive research work, more than that has already been said by many-many poets, authors, essayists, and philosophers of the world, hundreds of years ago. For most people any question put up about the man-woman relationship turns out to be quite perplexing. When I was in teens, some one had asked me a similar question about the love affair of a man with my neighboring woman, then I had tried to end up the matter by replying :

“IF A MAN LOVES WOMAN, WOMAN LOVES MAN—WHAT DO I CAN ?"

However, the entire story of a man and woman’s love and sex can be effectively summed up poetically by accepting the views of the 18th century English poet, Barry Cornwall, popularly known as Bryan Waller Procter [ 1787 – 1874 ] ; this poet had written :

AS THE MAN BEHOLDS THE WOMAN, AS THE WOMAN SEES THE MAN,
CURIOUSLY THEY NOTE EACH OTHER, AS EACH OTHER ONLY CAN.
NEVER CAN THE MAN DIVEST HER, OF THAT WONDEROUS CHARM OF SEX,
EVER MUST SHE DREAMING OF HIM, THAT SAME MYSTIC CHARM ANNEX.

The 19th century Irish poet and dramatist, Oscar Wilde [ 1856–1900 ], in his drama, “A Woman Of No Importance”, had written :

"MEN MARRY BECAUSE THEY ARE TIRED ; WOMEN MARRY BECAUSE THEY ARE CURIOUS ; BUT BOTH ARE DISAPPOINTED".

The 16th century Spanish novelist, Miguel De La Cervantes Saavedra in his famous novel, ‘Don Quixote’, had said :

"HONEST MEN MARRY QUICKLY, BUT WISE MEN NOT AT ALL".

Yet another 19th century English poet, Rudyard Kipling [ 1865 – 1936 ] had said :

DOWN TO GEHENNA OR UP TO THE THRONE,
HE TRAVELS THE FASTEST WHO TRAVELS ALONE.

The former President of India, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam ; former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ; former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Miss Jay Lalitha ; the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Miss Uma Bharatthe ; the current Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Miss Maya Wati ; etc., have all fully proven the spirit of the poetry of Rudyard Kipling as well as that of Cervantes. All the above named leaders of India are alive, crossed their natural age for marriage long ago, but have never married. There are countless other examples of world leaders or celebrities also who have never married.

The Irish Poet, Oscar Wilde had also advised :

ROMANCE SHOULD NEVER BEGIN WITH SENTIMENT
IT SHOULD BEGIN WITH SCIENCE, AND END WITH A SETTLEMENT.

But hardly any couple in the world would be found carrying out their love scientifically.

A 20th century American poet, Nicholas Vachel Lindsay [ 1879–1931 ], about the sex desire of a man had written :

MAN IS A TORCH, THEN ASHES SOON,
MAY AND JUNE, THEN DEAD DECEMBER,
DEAD DECEMBER, THEN AGAIN JUNE.

About 400 years ago, Queen Christina of Sweden had stated,

“ I LOVE MEN, NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE MEN, BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WOMEN ”.

On the contrary, the 18th century French novelist and woman of letters, Madame De Stael, had said,

“ I AM GLAD THAT I AM NOT A MAN, AS I SHOULD BE OBLIGED TO MARRY A WOMAN ”.

The English economist and journalist, Walter Bagehot [ 1826–1877 ], in his publication, ‘Biographical Studies’ ( Page 314 ) had written :

”MEN WHO DO NOT MAKE ADVANCES TO WOMEN ARE APT TO BECOME VICTIMS TO WOMEN WHO MAKE ADVANCES TO THEM”.

The Roman poet, Publius Ovidius Naso Ovid [ 43 B.C.–A.D. 18 ] had said :

”A STOLEN LOVE IS PLEASANT TO A MAN, SO IS IT ALSO TO A WOMAN; THE MAN DISSEMBLES BADLY : SHE CONCEALS DESIRE MORE CLEVERLY”.

The 17TH century English satirist, Samuel Butler, had given his opinion about all types of women as :

WOMEN, YOU KNOW DO SELDOM FAIL
TO MAKE THE STOUTEST MEN TURN TAIL.

The same poet, Samuel Butler, had further written :

THE SOULS OF WOMEN ARE SO SMALL,
THAT SOME BELIEVE, THEY ARE NONE AT ALL;
OR IF THEY HAVE, LIKE CRIPPLES, STIL
THEY HAVE BUT ONE FACULTY, THE WILL.

The following lines, written by an unknown poet, depict the nature of every married woman :

IN EVERY MARRIAGE, TWO THINGS ARE ALLOWED,
A WIFE IN WEDDING SHEETS AND IN A SHROUD ;
HOW CAN A MARRIAGE STATE THEN BE OCCURST,
SINCE THE LAST DAY AS HAPPY AS THE FIRST.

The 18th century Irish dramatist, Isac Bickerstaffe [ 1735–1812 ] was also deeply influenced by the power of every woman, by saying  :

LET MEN SAY WHATEVER THEY WILL,
WOMAN, WOMAN, RULES THEM STILL.

But different from all above, an English physician and compiler of 17th century, Thomas Fuller [ 1654–1734 ], disregarding the theory of ‘love’ had put forward the following cruel formula to tame the women of all kinds :

A WOMAN, A DOG, AND A WALNUT-TREE,
THE MORE YOU BEAT THEM THE BETTER THEY BE.

The 17th century English naturalist and collector of proverbs, John Ray [ 1628–1705 ], had said :

IT IS A GOOD HORSE THAT NEVER STUMBLES
AND A GOOD WIFE THAT NEVER GRUMBLES.

It was again same John Ray who had written :

WIFE THAT EXPECTS TO HAVE A GOOD NAME
IS ALWAYS AT HOME, AS IF SHE WERE LAME.

Another 19th century poet, George W. Young, about the problematic marriages of extremely beautiful women, had written :

SOME LADIES ARE TOO BEAUTEOUS TO BE WED,
FOR WHERE IS THE MAN THAT'S WORTHY OF THEIR BED.

On the other hand, a medieval period Persian poet, Sheikh Sa’di [ Full name : Muslih-ud-Din Mushrif-ibn Abdullah ) ( 1184–1283 or 1291 ? ) ], about horrific-looking women had bluntly said :

THE HUSBAND OF THE UGLY WIFE
IS BETTER BLINDED ALL HIS LIFE.

The best formula to escape from the woes of marriage, divorce, sex, or having the benefit or comfort of a wife, was given by the English poet, Robert Herrick [ 1591-1674 ], who, about 350 years ago had written :

THE ONLY COMFORT OF MY LIFE
IS THAT I NEVER YET HAD WIFE.

The India-born English novelist, William Makepeace Thackeray [ 1811-1863 ] had, on the other hand, strongly linked wine with the man-woman relations, in following words :

DOCTOR MARTIN LUTHAR’S SAYING WAS NOT WRONG
WHO LOVES NOT WINE, WOMAN AND SONG
HE IS A FOOL HIS WHOLE LIFE LONG.

The English naturalist, John Ray, was therefore also not wrong when he had said :

LOVE OF A WOMAN AND A BOTTLE OF WINE,
ARE SWEET FOR A SEASON, BUT LAST FOR A TIME.

Men are naturally programmed to mate with younger women who have best chances to bear him an offspring . Hence his attraction and desire for a younger, fertile woman---especially if he finds her physically and emotionally attractive. Further, a question whether married adults are healthier than divorced, widowed or never married counterparts requires an honest answer from every nation of the world. Still this would not be end of this mind-boggling story ; therefore, further research works needs to be continued in this infinite or never-ending subject of man-woman interaction.
