DMR Architects receive NJ Excellence in Housing Award
The Department of Community Affairs and the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency cosponsored the event. “We are honored to have worked alongside Trenton Prospect House LLC and Hunter Roberts Construction Group on this important project,” said Lloyd Rosenberg, president, CEO and founder of DMR Architects.
Awards were presented to projects that demonstrated outstanding housing development in the areas of affordable housing, green/sustainable development and community revitalization.
DMR Architects, Trenton Prospect House LLC, and Hunter Roberts Construction Group each received an award in the category of Community Revitalization for the 110-unit housing project known as Trenton Prospect House (Independence Gardens) in Trenton. The development is part of a multi-phased project that includes a 57,000-square-foot shopping center and new road, Independence Way. Ted Davis, the developer from Trenton Prospect House LLC, set-aside 25 percent of the housing units for residents with special needs. This redevelopment effort has transformed a once vacant 10-acre site into a viable community that provides quality goods and services and housing opportunities.
