The Peninsula at City Place to Hold Coat Drive w/ Edgewater this month

Toys for Tots The Peninsula at City Place condominiums is partnering with Edgewater Borough and the Edgewater Community Center this month for a coat drive. The sales center at The Peninsula at City Place, located in between Carter's and Banana Republic at 19 The Promenade in Edgewater, will serve as a drop-off point for the public and City Place merchants to donate new or slightly used coats for all ages until Dec. 22.
The annual coat drive, which is normally only is run through the community center and an area church, is for the first time also being operated out of a private business. Donations will benefit needy residents in the community of Edgewater and neighboring cities. They will be distributed through the Edgewater public health nurse's office and will be delivered for the holidays.

"It's actually the community working together to help one another," said Patricia Dalton, the borough's public health nurse who works in conjunction with the Edgewater Housing Authority and the Edgewater Social Service Department, which both assist low income families. "There are many families in the area that still need assistance during the winter months."

The Peninsula is being developed by Savanna Partners in conjunction with Investcorp, which are the leading New York City-based real estate development and investment firms.
