Dr. G. Jeremiah Ryan, President of Bergen Community College, and Dr. Sondra Stallard, President of Strayer University, recently signed a formal Transfer Articulation Agreement for Strayer University's Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting, Economics, and Information Systems and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Under the terms of the agreement, students who follow the prescribed degree pattern and earn an Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) or an Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) will have completed credits toward a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Economics, and Information Systems and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Additionally, students who receive an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Business Technologies, Information Technology, Hospitality Management and other related fields will earn credits toward a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Information Systems, Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Strayer University will also accept a maximum of 84 semester credit hours from Bergen students. Additionally, Bergen students who complete the degrees included in the agreement are guaranteed admission to the University. All students who have completed or will complete an Associate's Degree prior to enrollment at Strayer will have the admission application fee waived.
Bergen currently has 80 articulation agreements with more than 25 four-year colleges and universities and offers over 40 A.A. and A.S. transfer programs.
This transfer agreement was made possible due to the collaborative and cooperative efforts of faculty at Bergen Community College and Strayer University.
