HUMC's physicians make Top Doctors issue of NJ Monthly magazine

More than 2,000 physicians from all over the state of New Jersey took the time to cast their ballots in response to New Jersey Monthly magazine’s intriguing question, “To whom would you send friends or loved ones if their health depended on it?” Born was a list of 573 of the best physicians in 56 specialties in the November 2007 issue of the magazine.

 In addition to the list, the magazine highlighted Peter Praeger, M.D., interim co-chief of Cardiac Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), in the “Miracle Worker” article as having saved “a gefilte fish company.” Glen Gejerman, M.D., co-chief of Urologic Oncology within The Cancer Center at HUMC, and Paul Kovatis, M.D., the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at HUMC, were also featured in cameo articles.
