The Bergen Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Ciarco Learning Center, Bergen Community College, has partnered with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to present a small business loan seminar. The event, "Building and Financing Your Business," will take place Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the College's Ciarco Learning Center, 355 Main Street, Hackensack. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. and all interested parties are welcome to attend - there is no registration fee. For information on registration, please call the SBDC at 201-489-8670.
The seminar will provide small business owners - or those looking to begin a small business - with information on loan and technical assistance programs offered by the SBA. Leading area bank lending officers will discuss their role in the SBA's Guaranteed Lending Program. Lenders will explain the proper way to submit a loan proposal, how to increase an applicant's chances of getting a loan and how to get through the loan application process.
Individuals may consult with lenders, the SBA and other representatives after the full presentation.
The parent New Jersey Small Business Development Center operates with the SBA partially funded under a cooperative agreement and the N.J. Commerce and Economic Growth Commission. The support given by the SBA through such funding does not constitute an express or implied endorsement of the co-sponsor(s)'or participants' opinions, products or services.
