Deputy Chief Richard Cary announced the arrest of Frank Cirino D.O.B. 11/03/1953, of 128 Bergen Avenue Waldwick, NJ. Cirino was arrested on January 31, 2008, on a charge Possession of Child Pornography (2C:24-4b(5)b). The arrest came about as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Paramus Police Department, under the direction of Deputy Chief Richard Cary and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit, under the direction of Chief Joseph Macellaro.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation concerning the following: A member of the Paramus Police Department observed a suspicious male sitting in a vehicle in a mall parking lot. When members of the department began conversing with Mr. Cirino he was observed deleting items from his cell phone. Additionally a picture of a child posing was observed on the phone. Mr. Cirino was subsequently interviewed at the Paramus Police Department. During the interview he made admissions indicating that he had images of child pornography on his hard drive and was communicating in sexually explicit conversations with numerous females, via internet and cell phone, between the ages of 12-16 years of age. After consenting to a search of his computer members of the Bergen County Computer Crime Unit conducted preliminary forensic analysis that substantiated Mr. Cirino’s admission. Further analysis of Mr. Cirino’s hard drive and cell phone will be conducted.
