Passing the portable microphone from individual to group to individual, these elementary school students gave short dissertations on the Chinese Lunar New Year and the part that they represented. As they received the microphone, their placards were raised high in the air. Parents were able to get videos, individual and group pictures.
The phases of the New Year were pointed out by the students and assisted by Ms. Hodge on a specially designed chart. Once again, there was a playing of the Gu-zheng, a Chinese zither instrument as well as a costumed dance by the Stone sisters, Cassy and Christy.
In closing, Happy New Year was echoed in several different Asian languages.
