Dr. G. Jeremiah Ryan, President of Bergen Community College, and Albert Schielke, Interim Dean, University College Arts, Sciences, Professional Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University, recently signed an addendum to the formal Transfer Articulation Agreement for the University's Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts.
All terms of the original agreement, which was signed in June 2006, shall remain in effect.
Under the terms of the Addendum, students who follow the prescribed degree pattern and earn an Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) at Bergen, including the courses prescribed for each program in the agreement, will have completed credits toward the Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in one of the following majors: Philosophy, English Language & Literature, Literature Concentration; English Language and Literature, Writing Concentration; and Fine Arts at Farleigh Dickinson. The terms of this agreement take effect with students who will graduate in May 2008.
Bergen currently has 80 articulation agreements with more than 25 four-year colleges and universities and offers over 40 A.A. and A.S. transfer programs.
This transfer agreement was made possible due to the collaborative and cooperative efforts of faculty at Bergen Community College and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
