Violinist Alexis Lerner
Alexis Lerner, a talented young violinist from Upper Saddle River, will play a classical concert at The Atrium, the supportive independent senior living residence at The Allendale Community for Mature Living at 2 p.m. Lerner will perform works by J.S. Bach, Beriot and Kreisler, with piano accompaniment. The concert is free and open to the public.

Lerner, who studies at the Manhattan School of Music, is an advanced violinist who won the Bach Double Violin Concerto Competition last year. She minors in piano and studies musical composition, and is busy directing rehearsals of a chamber piece she wrote. An aficionado of all musical expression, Lerner also studies flute and voice privately. In between her studies in Manhattan and as a middle school honor student, she volunteers on a regular basis at The Atrium.

The Allendale Community for Mature Living is located at 85 Harreton Road, off Route 17 South, in Allendale, N.J., and is comprised of three levels of senior living. The Atrium offers cultural, social and educational programs every month, which are open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more information about these or other upcoming events at The Atrium, can call (201) 818-7979 or visit www.allendalecommunity.com.
