As a result of an article in www.ParamuspPost.com, about Trio, Nikki Hirsch, the head of PR and Marketing for Architectura, the architectural firm that designed Trio contacted me.. "Surprisingly, most journalists, when writing about properties, tend to overlook the architect in favor of the contractor, something I've been trying to change since I joined this firm in October. It's nice to see writers like you acknowledging the architect's design."

Nikki arranged for me to visit Architectura in Edgewater, not far from where Councilman Rich LaBarbiera works. It was there that I had the pleasure of meeting Conrad Roncati, Principal & CEO of the firm.

We three sat down in the boardroom and discussed Architectura and Roncati at length. He proved to be a very knowledgeable, very astute leader. A builder, designer and leader, he stressed the fact that too often architects are not given credit for their efforts. He stated that architects are like painters, sculptors and are indeed designers. Yet their names are omitted from news releases, some renderings and articles. They deserve more credit!

A man with the confidence of someone who has achieved success, Conrad Roncati did not need to talk down about anything, his extensive knowledge showing through our repartee and bantering. Roncati and the firm have done commercial and residential development at all levels. His client list on www.architectura.tv reads like a who's who.

One client is not listed, the Borough of Paramus, although he does have a rendering of the new field house slated for Parkway School. The plans were approved by the Mayor and Council the same evening as our discussion. According to Architectura's website, it is due to be completed by July. The is the same building that Mayor Tedesco had asked about, making sure that not only refreshments, but a place for the people to get refreshed would be ready!
