Award-Winning Firm Known for its Organic, Environmentally-Friendly Services

Borst Landscape & Design of Allendale will be participating in the April 12 celebration of Earth Day/Arbor Day in Ridgewood, offering free gifts and a backyard golf demonstration using a new, bio-friendly artificial turf system. The event will be held at the Ridgewood Village Hall Community Center, located at 131 N. Maple Avenue, from noon until 3 p.m.

"Borst and Earth Day are a perfect match," noted Mark Borst, the company's founder and president. "The Ridgewood event is a celebration of the environment, and Borst Landscape & Design has long been in the forefront as advocates of an organic, sustainable approach to lawn, tree and shrub care. In fact, we recently launched our own line of organic landscape products."

Those who attend the Ridgewood celebration can test a new backyard golf surface made from fibers specifically designed to simulate the behavior, texture, density and color of natural grass. Borst has recently begun offering these and other backyard sports surfaces as part of their landscape and design services.

The firm specializes in large-scale residential and commercial design/build projects throughout northern New Jersey. Borst's projects, many of which have been featured in local, regional and national publications, include everything from beautifully landscaped lawns and flower beds to patios and sitting areas, wall-free ‘rooms,' outdoor kitchens, pools, waterfalls, sports and entertainment areas.
