‘HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL’
Apple Cider Players Spring Workshop Concluding; Summer Camp Registration Has Begun

The Apple Cider Players Spring Workshop will be coming to a close with a performance of “High School Musical” on May 15. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at Tice Community Center in Woodcliff Lake and is open to the public.

Under the direction of Ho-Ho-Kus resident Will Wilson, young cast members will have been rehearsing the play for 10 weeks. Wilson, director of development at The Apple Cider Players, has been involved with the group for 5 years and has a comprehensive resumé as a diversified entertainer. He developed a Theater Arts Group (T.A.G.) Program, which has been implemented in several Northern New Jersey school districts. On the musical front, Wilson is lead singer and founder of the band The Willies. Trained under Vocal Coach Bob Marks, Wilson also provides private voice lessons. Additionally, he is the proprietor of W Entertainment, specializing in deejay entertainment for private and corporate events.

“It’s all about sharing my experience and providing the skills for these children to cultivate their talents,” he noted. “The training and techniques I provide them for acting and singing can be practical for overcoming everyday challenges as well; the benefits of these lessons are lifelong.”

Summer Camp registration has begun and will be held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westwood Elks. Two sessions are being offered this summer: July 7 to July 25 and Aug. 4 to Aug. 22. The first session will be for the performance of “League of Their Own/Damn Yankees,” and the second will be “Grease Jr.”
