On Thursday, May 8th at the Builder of the Year Award Dinner, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF BERGEN COUNTY announced that Pam Dalessio of Ridgefield Park won the raffle for a Mercedes Benz C300 Sport Sedan. The event raised almost $200,000 with proceeds going to build affordable housing for Bergen County families in need.
“We had made plans to go shopping on Saturday because we really needed a new car so I was amazed and in shock when I found out that I had won,” said Mrs. Dalessio. “My husband didn’t believe me when I told him and I had to replay the message to prove it. It just seems like it was meant to be and we absolutely love our new car.”
“Mr. & Mrs. Dalessio have been supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County for many years and we are so pleased to be able to present her with her new car,” said Susan Safire, Executive Director of Habitat Bergen. “It’s through the generosity of donors such as the Dalessios that we are able to continue our mission of providing decent, affordable housing here in Bergen County.”
Current Habitat Bergen construction projects include a total of nine homes on Third Street in Englewood and refurbishing 18 apartment units in Edgewater into affordable condominiums. Future development projects will be in Garfield and Oradell.
