A Gift from Paramus Sunrise
Upon learning that Deputy Chief Richard Cary was going to be promoted to Paramus Police Chief, the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club decided to give him a long lasting gift. Cary, the club's Community Service Director, has been a valuable member.
Sophie Stone volunteered to get the plant and to present it to the Chief. Upon arriving at police headquarters, she was greeted at the door by Cary who escorted her to his office and carried the plant through the passageways. After posing for a few pictures, Chief Rick Cary took her on a tour of the station and displayed an in depth knowledge of its intricate workings.
Sophie was thrilled to see and get an understanding of how a police station operates, especially one as large as Paramus in manpower. Cary explained that they were not up to full manpower which taxed some of the operations, but that they were coping with the situation.
I am sure that Sophie has a greater respect for all of the obligations of the new chief.
