Album 1
I wanted a commemorative photo t-shirt. I have one from last year, braved the long line to get it, so this year I kept a wary eye out. Seeing a line forming, I quickly joined in on the 15 to 20 people already there. It took over an hour, but I did get one.
It seemed that Paul Lee and Mickey from Any Excuse for a Party www.anyexcuseforaparty.com were having equipment problems. They changed printers, computers, wires and what not meanwhile making frantic cell phone calls. In the interim we seniors were kept a tad busy on the line by Pierre who operated the astrology equipment.
Album 2 There was also a caricaturist who, according to the modus operandi, also had a long waiting line. The Banjo Rascals did a terrific job of playing music that was enjoyed by everyone. According to Jim and Geri, they have played at this function for many years past.
The food arrived and was transported by, among others, Mayor Tedesco. Borough Administrator Anthony Iacono, Councilman Denis Niland and Flo Pappas. The serving was held up because all the food wasn't there. Looking at the long, long, long line, I decided to go elsewhere and get something to eat.
I had enough of lines, had enough of them in the service, World War II, and have been chary of lines ever since. Besides, there were a lot of seniors who had been standing for much too long a time.
