Daredevil Angelo Del Monaco will be a featured performer at State Fair Meadowlands at Giants Stadium Fairgrounds, returning to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford this summer from June 26 through July 13. On July 6, he will attempt to break his own record from last year and endure over 128 motorcycles riding over him in just 10 minutes; that’s one every 3 seconds. Inspired by his hero Evel Knievel, Angelo Del Monaco enjoys doing stunts that no one else does, particularly jumping over flaming cars on his cycle.
This Latin American cyclist prepares for his death-defying stunts by meditating, praying, concentrating, and exercising. He holds six world records, two of which have been acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records. Angelo also gives back to the community whenever he can by giving free performances to raise money for various charities such as UNICEF. For more information about Del Monaco, visit his website at http://www.angelodelmonaco.com.
Fairgoers can kick off the summer with over 150 rides and attractions for all ages. The Fair features free nightly entertainment, including magic, daredevils, adorable animals and a comedic hypnotist. This year’s new acts include Doc Swan Magical Comedy & Variety Show, the Bantu Wizards Acrobatic Troupe, the Marcan Tiger Show, and the Nerveless Nocks Family Stunt Aerialists. Returning acts include Rosaire’s Racing Pigs, Commerford’s Educational Petting Zoo and Hypnotist Steve Bayner. Strolling musicians and costumed characters will also provide entertainment throughout the fairgrounds.
Fairgoers won’t want to miss the spectacular fireworks displays on July 3 and July 4, and the opening “Dollar Night” on Thursday, June 26 – where everything from parking, to admission, rides and select food items costs a buck each. Monday, June 30 is Carload Night, where everyone who fits in your car can enter for one price of $69.99, and parking is free. For more bargains and promotion days, visit www.njfair.com.
