“SeniorFit” Health Fair Returns to The Atrium at The Allendale Community

Free Information and Screenings For Older Adults Available to Public
The Atrium, a supportive independent living senior residence at The Allendale Community for Mature Living, will host its Annual “SeniorFit” Health Fair on Sat., Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is specially designed for seniors to address potential medical risks and undiagnosed medical conditions that may otherwise remain undetected.
This free event features wellness education sessions and information; diagnostic evaluations and screenings performed by local medical professionals and physicians. The following break-out sessions will be held at the designated times:
12 p.m. – “How To Easily Manage Stress” will be led by clinical psychologist Linda C. Rosen.
12:30 p.m. – “Is Your Legal House In Order?” will be addressed by Michael Manna, Esq., of Michael A. Manna and Associates of Ridgewood.
1 p.m. – “Smoking: Why & How to Quit” as well the benefits associated with quitting smoking at any age will be highlighted by Al Ferrara, Jr. of the Bergen County Department of Health Services.
Other program highlights include screenings of the cervical spine conducted by Dr. Pinelli of Pinelli Chiropractic Center; oral health and cancer screening by Dr. Kianfar of Nu-Smile Dental; audiology screening by Total Hearing Care; blood pressure screening by an Allendale Community registered nurse; back massage by Dr. Labriola of Chiro Health Spa of Ramsey; and podiatry care by Dr. Howard Kliman. Information regarding The Allendale Community and its Senior Social Club and Respite Programs also will be available.
