Outgrowth Responds to Growing Base of Commercial Clients in Bergen/Passaic
Borst Landscape and Design of Allendale has formally launched “Borst Snow Management, LLC” which will begin to serve the company’s growing contingent of commercial snow removal customers this coming winter.
According to Mark Borst, president, the new division responds to continued expansion of the company’s commercial division, which last season generated nearly $500,000 in plowing revenue at office, retail, multifamily and industrial properties primarily in Bergen and Passaic counties.
“This area of our business has become a great cash flow bridge during our landscape maintenance division’s slower months,” noted Mark Borst, the company’s president and founder. “We have a huge amount of equipment, and it simply makes sense to put it to work in the wintertime.”
Borst Snow Management will operate with the same level of service that the company’s landscape clientele have come to expect. “Our job is to ensure that a commercial property is absolutely clean when employees arrive,” Borst said. “This minimizes the liability of slip-and-fall accidents. We really attack these projects proactively, and the increasing amount of referral work we are receiving is a testament to our approach.”
Mike Cioffi, director of Borst’s commercial division, and Jason Crean, who manages field staff, are heading Borst Snow Management, LLC.
Founded in 1989, Borst is a full-service landscape design/build and maintenance firm. Its growing commercial division handles ongoing property maintenance as well as major landscape installations and renovations. The company has received recognition from numerous national and industry organizations for its excellence in design, implementation and maintenance, as well as employee and safety programs.
