By Mel Fabrikant Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 04:07 PM EDT
The Financial Planning Association of New Jersey (FPANJ) is holding its annual Financial Planning Week (October 6-12), filled with a host of public education events that will benefit individuals across New Jersey, especially during these challenging economic times. The organization recognizes that more than ever Americans' who want a bright financial future must plan for it.
As we continue to see a downturn in investment and credit markets continue and declining real estate values impact a significant percentage of New Jersey residents, it is more important than ever for people to maximize all of their investment and money management opportunities. Helping people make the most of their money is at the core of the Financial Planning Week activities that are scheduled throughout the state. The full list of events follows.
The FPANJ is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the public on the value of financial planning and fostering financial literacy within the community. The organization has more than 900 members active throughout New Jersey, including areas as far north as Vernon and as far south as Ocean City. Planners are prepared to speak about such topics such as financial and investment planning, how to prepare for and produce income in retirement, education planning and preparing for tax time.
