Lasik Plus Open House
Visiting LasikPlus Vision Center to attend their Open House, our Mayor was treated to a complete eye testing including the cornea, its thickness and eye pressure done by Rebecca Herran. This is a service that LasikPlus offers to family and friends referrals.
Given the complete comprehensive Lasik Vision exam, an exam offered without obligation, Tedesco had drops put in his eyes for some of the tests and had them covered to moisten each one as they seemed dry afterwards. Of course, had anyone else been there and seen him with his eyes covered, it would have opened a barrage of quips! As it was, he heard the click of the camera as he was photographed lying there with his eyes covered with gauze.
Dr. Simki Shah, Optometrist and fellow Paramus Sunrise Rotary member, escorted us throughout the efficient and large premises located at Suite 301, 351 Evelyn Street in Paramus. 201 634 1444 ph … www.lasikplus.com It gives a beautiful view of Route 17 North, Syms and the new Courtyard by Marriott.
We visited several examining rooms, most of them occupied by our Mayor and Rebecca as he was being given the in-depth examination. We then visited the Lasik Surgery room which is Dr. Phillip Calenda's (MD) operating room. We received an inside view of the equipment and what it did.
We repaired to the lunchroom where Tedesco asked a lot of poignant questions concerning the facility. His active mind touched upon subjects like the basic source of LasikPlus customers. Asking if it was primarily athletically involved, Calenda told him that it started out that way, but has now evolved into mostly family.
One might say that Mayor Tedesco had his eyes opened!
