Chevy Show
Billed as a Corvette & Chevrolet Swap Meet & Car Show, the Rescue Squad along with the Class Glass Corvette Association held a Car Show on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Westfield Garden State Plaza Shopping Center parking lot. Chevies of all types and ages were lined up for visitors to see and examine.
One section was divided into parts and accoutrements. Clothing, polish, parts some new , were on display. In the chilly weather, the warm clothing plus caps and hats were in demand. It seemed odd to see a Corvette, no engine, towed in on a trailer with extra parts strewn around, doors, hoods etc. all for sale.
Walking up and down the line, it was amazing to see a Northvale Police Car, siren and light mounted, on display. Hoods were up on a good many vehicles, open for inspection. One Corvette owner was demonstrating his vehicle by starting up the engine. Sure enough, it turned over immediately,, such is the care that is usually given these vehicles.
The Paramus Rescue Squad had several of their vehicles handy .. just in case! The next show is scheduled for October 18th, 2009.
