Poland’s Consul General to Visit Bergen

Bergen Community College and members of its Polish Culture Club will welcome Poland’s consul general Krzysztof Kasprzyk to campus for an open discussion on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in room A-113 at the College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus. The event is free and open to the public.
Kasprzyk will entertain questions from those in attendance; topics are expected to include Polish culture in the United States, his experience as an international ambassador, Poland-U.S. relations and students’ affinity for their ethnic heritage.
After working in Poland as a journalist and professor, Kasprzyk devoted his life to bridging the gap between the U.S. and Poland through various organizations and initiatives. Working in New York as consul general – a position he has held since 2005 – Kasprzyk serves an adviser to Polish officials and acts as their spokesperson in the U.S. Kasprzyk is also a noted author and bridge player.
The consul general’s visit to Bergen was arranged by the student members of the College’s Polish Culture Club.
Bergen Community College is a public two-year coeducational college, enrolling more than 15,000 students in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degree programs and certificate programs.
