Bergen Com. College Honors Division on Disability Services Director

Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney announced that James Thebery, M.A., CSW, Director of the Bergen County Division on Disability Services was recently recognized by Bergen Community College for his years of service to students with disabilities.
“Bergen County is fortunate to have someone with James’ level of experience working for residents with disabilities in Bergen County,” said McNerney. “His knowledge, commitment, and network of professionals enable him to seek out the necessary services and programs that persons with disabilities need in order to have a better quality of life.”
The awards luncheon was held in recognition of Disability Awareness Week. Approximately 2600 Bergen Community College students have a disability.
“James is a valuable resource to the college when it comes to facilitating information that will enhance our students’ experience,” said Raymond Smith, Bergen Community College Vice President of Student Services.
“His passion and desire to assist individuals with disabilities shines through in every program that he initiates and every life that he touches,” said Valerie Williams Dargan, Ph.D., Director of the Department of Human Services. “
