What is Ikenobo Ikebana? The origin of Japanese flower arrangement.
The Exhibition of ikebana arrangements are as follows;Nageire and Moribana are two similar styles that place an emphasis on the natural beauty and character of the branches and flowers. They differ in that Nageire uses a tall pottery vase with a narrow mouth while Moribana utilizes a wide, shallow vase. Shoka Shofutai is using three branches or three tall flowers, representing the cosmos, which in ancient far-eastern philosophy is composed of heaven, earth, and human beings. Shoka Shimputani is adapting it for modern living spaces with three functions branches Shu, Yo and Ashirai. Free style (Jiyuka). This contemporary style is influenced by the modern art movement outside of Japan. The Rikka style was established during the Moromachi period in the fifteenth century. As one of the oldest and well known forms of Ikebana, this particular style continues to evolve, bringing nature's beauty to contemporary life.
