Rabbi Roth Conducts Family Hannukah Program at Fair Lawn Public Library

Rabbi Ronald Roth of The Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B'nai Israel presented a Family Hanukkah Program to the community at the Maurice M. Pine Free Public Library in Fair Lawn. Rabbi Roth read Hanukkah stories to the children and Andrea Pass, Membership Chair of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, lead the youngsters in singing Hanukkah songs. The meaning of the Hanukkah Hanukiah (memorah) was explained and the children learned how to play the game of dreidel. The guests received Hanukkah gifts of dreidels, gelt (chocolate coins) and cookies from Rabbi Roth.
"It was wonderful to share the upcoming holiday of Hanukkah with the entire community," noted Rabbi Roth. "We look forward to many more programs with the Fair Lawn Public Library targeted to both adults and children in the near future."
